What exactly is RentProov?
RentProov is an app that guides you through documenting the condition of your rental car, both at pickup and at return. Your images, the time, the location and the vehicle details come together in one clear, verifiable evidence report, so you are protected if a damage claim comes in afterwards.
Is RentProov independent from the rental company?
Yes. RentProov is not a rental company, an insurer, or a damage assessor. We sit between renter and rental company, but we don't depend on either. We record what you document, and we don't distort, steer, or hide anything.
Can images be edited afterwards?
No. RentProov is built on the principle that the original images are kept exactly as they were captured, so your evidence report stays reliable at the moment it matters most.
How are the time and location recorded?
For every inspection, RentProov automatically records when and where the images were taken, together with the vehicle details. That makes it clear to both you and the rental company exactly when a given condition was established.
How does RentProov prove that images are genuine?
RentProov secures every photo, location and timestamp right at the moment it's captured, directly on your phone. That makes it demonstrable afterwards that the data hasn't been changed, verifiable by an independent party.
Who has access to my images and data?
By default, only you have access to your inspections and evidence report. We only collect what's needed to support your evidence position, and we don't share anything with third parties without you being in control of that.
How long do you keep my images?
We keep your images and report for as long as is reasonably necessary to support you in case of a damage claim. We'll publish exact retention periods once RentProov goes live.
Does RentProov work abroad?
Yes. RentProov is built for exactly the moment you're standing in a parking lot abroad, under time pressure, needing to do a quick and complete inspection. The app is clear from the first screen and takes just a few minutes.
Does RentProov guarantee a damage claim will be dismissed?
No. RentProov doesn't determine who is legally liable. What we do is help you document the condition of the vehicle fully and verifiably, so you're in a stronger position if a claim is disputed.
Do I still need to take my own photos, or does the app do that for me?
RentProov actively guides you around every side and key part of the car, and checks whether the images are clear and complete. That way you avoid discovering afterwards that you missed the roof, the wheels, or the underside of the bumper.
